Summary
Red Clark, Tom Jones, and Billy Haynes rode into Martinez, three young cowboys looking for some fun and hoping to land jobs at the Double X. Their first stop was the sheriff's office. It was Red's policy to leave his guns at the sheriff's office when he was new in a town as a sign that he wasn't looking to cause trouble. But, through a series of misunderstandings at the livery and the saloon, they soon found themselves forking borrowed horses and hightailing it out of town as wanted men being pursued by a swarm of galloping punchers. It's up to Red to keep the three of them alive. To do that he'll have to find out why the town was so quick to brand them as outlaws and who this Walt Rodman is that they are supposed to be in with. Red will have to draw on all the knowledge and skills he learned from his father, the former sheriff of Tulluco, under whom Red had served as deputy until a bushwacker had killed him a few years ago. There'll be no shortage of quick-thinking and quick-shooting before old wrongs and new murders are righted
